SPI BN Participates in 2026 Ladies in Cyber, 1 May 2026

SPI BN Sdn Bhd was pleased to participate in the 2026 Ladies in Cyber initiative, led by the Brunei Cyber Security Association (BCSA), which supports the advancement of women in cybersecurity through knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and professional development.During the event, SPI BN showcased CyberAware powered by Phished.io, a cybersecurity awareness and phishing simulation platform designed to help organisations strengthen employee security behaviour and resilience. The platform supports continuous learning through automated training, realistic phishing simulations, risk insights, and measurable progress tracking.

SPI BN aims to help organisations move beyond one-off awareness sessions towards building a stronger cybersecurity culture, where employees become an active line of defence against cyber threats. Our participation reflects SPI BN’s commitment to supporting cyber resilience, capacity building, and inclusive growth within Brunei’s cybersecurity ecosystem.

Strengthening Aviation & Defence Capabilities Through Strategic Partnership, 2 Feb 2026

SPI BN Sdn Bhd has formalised a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Innovaero, Navicom Avionics, and Videosoft to advance integrated aviation, unmanned systems, and secure communications capabilities in Brunei and the wider ASEAN region. This collaboration brings together expertise in UAV platforms, avionics systems, and advanced video compression technologies to support mission-critical operations across defence, security, and industrial applications.

The partnership aims to drive innovation, enhance operational efficiency, and build local capacity through joint development, technology transfer, and future pilot deployments aligned with national digital and security priorities.

SPI BN at APACE 2026 on ASEAN Space Collaboration, 29 Jan 2026

SPI BN’s Managing Director was invited as a speaker at the APACE 2026 Forum in Kuching, contributing to the panel discussion titled “Strength through Collaboration: Building a Connected ASEAN Space Ecosystem.” The session brought together regional leaders to explore how partnerships can accelerate space technology adoption across Southeast Asia. During the discussion, SPI BN shared perspectives on advancing satellite IoT, cross-border collaboration, and the importance of locally relevant solutions designed for ASEAN environments. Celebrating Phase 2 of Postcards from Brunei to Space, 20 Jan 2026

SPI BN proudly hosted the Phase 2 Postcards from Brunei to Space Appreciation Ceremony, bringing together partners, sponsors, collaborators, educators, Belia Angkasa members, and enthusiastic young participants. The event recognised the collective effort behind engaging schools and communities in space-focused learning and creativity.

Highlights from this phase, including outreach sessions, space camp experiences, and key lessons learned, were shared by the Project Facilitator, alongside the vision for future space capacity building initiatives in Brunei.

This milestone marks just the beginning of a broader journey to nurture curiosity, develop local capability, and expand collaboration both nationally and internationally, proving that it is never too late to start exploring space, together.

Satellite IoT Demonstration Advancing Environmental Monitoring in Brunei, 14 Jan 2026

SPI BN has deployed ASEAN CONNECT Satellite IoT technology across three pilot sites: Badas peatland, Kg Sungai Bunga, and Fatih Aquaculture, in partnership with Universiti Brunei Darussalam, SpaceIn and EOS Orbit. These demonstrations showcase real-world applications of remote sensing in challenging environments without reliance on terrestrial networks. Each site is equipped with multi-sensor ground terminals measuring parameters such as soil nutrients, water quality, temperature, humidity, and rainfall, with data transmitted via low Earth orbit satellites to a cloud-based dashboard.

This initiative will run for a period of 6 months and enables near real-time environmental insights, supporting peatland conservation, riverine ecosystem monitoring, and sustainable aquaculture practices. The deployments mark a significant step toward scalable, resilient monitoring solutions designed for Southeast Asia’s climate and terrain.

The presentation highlighted the solution’s capability to deliver reliable, real-time data from remote environments, supporting sectors such as environment, agriculture, fisheries, and logistics.
