SPI BN delivers talk on Building a Sovereign and Human-centred AI Readiness, 5 Nov 2025

SPI BN participated in a seminar followed by interactive discussions and live demonstrations, participants explored practical applications of AI for organisational efficiency, cybersecurity operations, and responsible governance. The session underscored that the true foundation of digital transformation lies not in the technology itself, but in the people who design, manage and safeguard it.

The engagement highlighted the importance of aligning investment towards people, not only in acquiring systems, but in upskilling the existing workforce to navigate and manage new technologies. This people-first approach ensures that new tools enhance decision-making, improve coordination, and uphold Brunei’s principles of sovereignty, sustainability and moral innovation.

SPI BN and SpaceIn Sdn Bhd delivered an engaging talk at Universiti Brunei Dasrussalam’s Institute for Biodiversity and Environmental Research (IBER), highlighting the potential of Satellite IoT solutions for environmental monitoring and remote data collection. The session introduced ongoing R&D efforts and announced the upcoming technology demonstrator deployments in Badas and Mentiri, scheduled for December 2025.
